The high protein content helps to maintain muscle mass during a time of weight loss.

Diabetes mellitus promotes oxidative stress, which can lead to chronic complications. A high level of antioxidants helps combat this. A synergistic antioxidant complex of vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein and taurine helps to neutralize free radicals and provides active cell protection.
